All the Standout Looks from the Spring 2017 Runways

While Fashion Week’s main focus is the clothes, one can’t look past the major nail looks that will inspire manicures off the runways all around the world. Bellacures is breaking down the 10 hottest nail trends from New York Fashion Week. Take a sneak peak backstage at some of the top designers shows and the nail designs and colors they used to make a statement.

1. Grown-up Glitter at Rodarte- Using a clear base and then a thin brush to apply gold glitter around the edge of the cuticle keeps the nail looking clean but adds a touch of sheen.

2. Cherry Pie Nails at Rebecca Minkoff- A combination of half cherry red and half pale nude make for a fun and playful look.

3. Tantalizing Orange at TIBI- A simple look in a tantalizing tangerine orange shade.

4. Heavy Metal at 3.1 Philip Lim- Going with the metallic trend, a white base was covered in silver to create a distressed look.

5. Cheeky Cubism at Novis-
Another look with a clear base and pops of color, the nail artist who created the look called it “cheekily minimal cubist nail art.” Start with a sheer base and add little squares in dark blue and turquoise sporadically.

6. A Bright Twist on The French At Creatures of Comfort- A fun twist on the French manicure, this look used different bright colors instead of white and added a fun gold triangle decal to the base of the nail.

7. Black Stripes at Vera Wang- A stripe of black polish down the center of the nail, finished with a matte topcoat gave a chic and versatile look.

8. Royal Blues at DKNY- The popularity of the blues will never go away.

9. Tribal Influencer at Proenza Schouler- The tribal influence of the collection was complimented by nails with fun, abstract black shapes that were painted on clean nails free-hand.

10. Ombré Metallics Shine at Michael Costello- A brilliant gold base and dark plum applied with a latex makeup wedge gave a new take on ombré nails.
